Recipe: Parmesan Percussion
Let’s make some cheesy snacks that smack! We’re baking cheese until it gets crispy enough to play us a tune. It’s the who, when, wow of musical cheese!
-Parchment paper or a silicone baking mat
-Grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2: Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 3: Take a heaping tablespoon of grated Parmigiano Reggiano and drop it onto your baking sheet.
Step 4: Repeat until you have 12 little mounds of cheese. Make sure the cheese mounds are all a couple of inches apart from each other as they will spread while baking.
Step 5: Lightly press until the mounds are flat.
Step 6: With a grown-up’s help, pop them in the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden brown.
Step 7: Let them cool and then make some music by snapping them in half or crunching them in your mouth!
