Job Title: Social Media & Communications Intern
Commitment: 20 hours per week
Time frame: 5.13.23 – 8.31.23 (Note: This time range is open to discussion)
Location: Remote
Hourly Rate: $20/hr.

Tinkercast is looking for part-time intern support to help support our marketing efforts related to social media and external communications. This position will report to the Marketing and Communications Manager @ Tinkercast and be part of the Tinkercast Marketing Team.
Responsibilities:
- Support social media production by creating batches of engaging graphics and copy for Wow in the World owned channels (social media/email/website) in alignment with Tinkercast brand toolkit.
- Coordinate social media post scheduling for social media platforms via Later.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Manager to develop and maintain the company social media calendar through ClickUp.
- Support YouTube production by creating batches of YouTube thumbnails and descriptions for developed videos for WowTube channel. Coordinate with the Marketing & Communications Manager the scheduling of videos in the YouTube platform based on editorial plans.
- Share out weekly social media round-ups featuring at least 5 interesting pieces of content trending on social media to the Marketing team.
- Support with the management of the Hello@Tinkercast.com inbox, providing prompt replies to customers and brand inquiries in brand voice.
- Organize Wow in the World illustrations and brand assets in Canva for simplified future use within the platform.
- Log monthly social analytics from Later in Google Sheets and contribute to the social media updates in quarterly marketing reports for Tinkercast leadership.
- Support with research, planning, and implementation of quarterly marketing campaigns.
We’re looking for…
- Passion / experience in children’s media
- A desire to grow and WOW!
- A Self-starter who can work independently
- A willingness to tinker and experiment
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write in our brand voice
- Social Media Aficionado, someone who knows all the trending sounds on TikTok and is fluent in memes
- Strong graphic design skills, experience with Photoshop and Canva
- Previous internship in social media or communications preferred
- Familiarity with Later, or other social media publication tools, MailChimp, Adobe Creative Suite, and ClickUp, or other project management software, is ideal
