Conversation Starters: Anti-Social Animals

1. Better fire exits were designed by studying the smart way ants move in a group. Think about the smart ways other animals live and talk about how you could create a dream house based on them. A bird’s nest style tree house? A spider web bed?
2. Humans are social animals but imagine if a solitary animal like tigers or marmots were running the world instead of people. How do you think their schools and cities would look?
3. Make a list of all your favorite animals. Try and figure out which ones are social, which ones are solitary and which might be flexibly-social. Have a grownup help you look up the answers.
