Enter… brain ticklers! Knowing these four fast and simple brain games can be a lifesaver while waiting in line ANYWHERE, driving in a car or filling up any old moment when you might find yourself feeling bored. These screen-free brain games require no fancy supplies whatsoever and they’re guaranteed to bust your boredom.
What’s in my Bag?
Grab some scrap paper and list out as many items as you can think of that might be inside of your mom’s, dad’s or teacher’s bag. If more than one wowser is playing, whoever gets the closest wins!
Human Thesaurus
- Choose a simple word like “beautiful.”
- Think of as many synonyms as you can.
- If playing with others, you can try it with a timer. See how many synonyms each of you can come up with in a minute.
Silly Sentences
One person chooses 5 random letters. The other person comes up with sentences in which each word starts with the designated letter. For example, OBPAB. Only boring people are bored.
Rapid Recall
In 30 seconds say as many words that start with one letter as you can. Challenge edition: restrict your words by category (like all food words or all living things).
